Traveling exhibits

COMING SOON!
Geckos - Tails to Toepads
Geckos–Tails to Toepads is the latest traveling exhibition from the team that created Reptiles–The Beautiful and the Deadly and The Scoop on Poop, and is a follow-up sister exhibition to the phenomenally successful Frogs–A Chorus of Colors.

Geckos are among the most adaptable lizards–more than 1,000 species have conquered habitats from balmy tropical beaches and lush rainforests to frigid mountain slopes and parched deserts. They range from shadowy nighttime hunters with unbelievable camouflage to neon-colored nectar eaters that scamper around in daylight. Bulging eyes, night vision, ‘sticky’ toepads, squawking voices and disposable body parts–welcome to a gecko’s world!

Geckos are endowed with a charisma that marketing firms can’t resist and audiences can’t ignore. This exhibition introduces visitors to their remarkable diversity with bold backlighted graphics, engaging interactives and living examples from around the world. Lush, naturalistic habitats anchor the exhibit and draw audiences into the geckos’ realm. Visitors can experience gecko night vision, magnify gecko toepads, listen to gecko voices, activate video clips of geckos in action, try to spot camouflaged geckos and build a custom gecko for various environments.

Geckos–Tails to Toepads is currently in development and will premiere in 2008. Please call (800)737-8452 for an information packet or to reserve a venue.
