Frogs in Crisis Over the last few decades, scientists have recorded steep declines in amphibian populations all over the world—at least a third of all described species are now threatened with extinction. This topical exhibition explores the causes and consequences of the global amphibian crisis, while celebrating the beauty and diversity of living frogs. Frogs in Crisis is a scaled-down version of the phenomenally successful Frogs - A Chorus of Colors. The exhibition is small—designed for institutions with limited space and budgets—but its impact is big. Backlighted graphic panels; lush living habitats, complete with rock ledges, live plants, and trickling water features; and a colorful assortment of live frogs offer a glimpse of frog diversity. |
